My Final Piece.

Final Piece- In Exam condition-My artwork.

This is an Image of My home Town, where I stitch onto calico a type of Cotton cloth. I Used dark Blue thread. I could have used Black thread. However, I knew it would have been too harsh onto the calico and on the eyes. I wanted to create a soft gentle effect for the viewers,so the viewers can stand and look longer at my work. There are lots of empty spaces, to leave it to the viewer's imagination.

 

This is inspired by Sunga Park. I enjoyed her style of painting! and took it on-board and created a work of my own and had Fun in the progress.

I had the  privileged to be painted by a friend, who suggested to represent the African culture through my face, having African descendent I was happy to be a chapter of her worldwide studies.

Her talented amazed others from outside the art department.

I'm so delighted to be part of it.
